I am now working on the development of the ITS3 vertex detector for the ALICE Experiment at LHC, a nearly mass-less silicon detector based on curved Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS),
The ITS3 will replace the innermost layers of the current ALICE silicon tracker (ITS2) at the next LHC Long Shutdown, foreseen for 2026. This detector concept, and the 65 nm CMOS sensor being currently developed for this application, will serve as baseline for the future experiment at the Electron-Ion Collider.
