个人简介
Gregory G. Denisov (Member, IEEE) is widely known for his theoretical and experimental works on the electrodynamics of multimode systems and high-power electronics. He is the author of more than 350 scientific papers. In these areas he carried out fundamental works: new methods of diagnostics and transformation of spatial structures of powerful wave flows were proposed and developed, and new varieties of powerful electronic microwave devices were proposed and implemented. His works made a decisive contribution to the successful development of new microwave devices with record parameters: megawatt gyrotrons for controlled fusion installations, gyro-TWT of the millimeter wave range, and free electron masers. The results of his research are also important for the development of new methods of microwave processing of materials, and for the creation of new sources of multiply charged ions, for the growth of diamond films using CVD technology. For more than 20 years he was Head of Gyrotron Division of IAP RAS and since 2017 he has been a Director of IAP RAS. He is a member of RAS.
