Gergely Gábor Barnaföldi currently the Head of the Heavy-Ion Research Group at the Department of the Theoretical Physics, Wigner Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Gergely does research in Heavy-ion Physics, High-energy nuclear Physics, Compact Stars, QCD phenomenology, Experimental High-energy Physics and Elementary Particle Physics. He is member of the CERN LHC ALICE Collaboration'and group leader of the Hungarian ALICE Group. He is also leading the Wigner GPU Laboratory of parallel computing.
