Gergana Daskalova

I am a PhD student with a research focus in global change ecology. I am interested in biodiversity change, global change drivers, conservation and agroecology. For my PhD research, I am conducting an attribution analysis of biodiversity change on local and global scales to determine if land use change explains biodiversity trends. Previously, I’ve studied the effect of agri-environmental schemes on farmland birds in Scotland. I’m part of Team Shrub at the University of Edinburgh, where I’ve contributed to research on changes in vegetation and active layer depth in the Arctic.
