G. E. Cirlin

George E. Cirlin received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees from the Institute for Analytical Instrumentation RAS, St. Petersburg, in 1985, 1987, 1991, and 2001, respectively, all in semiconductor physics. He is the Head of the Laboratory of Epitaxial Nanotechnologies, Academic University RAS, and Leading Research Scientist at Ioffe Institite, St. Petetrsburg, Russia. His research interest has been in the areas of growth and investigation of semiconductor nanostructures. He has authored about 350 papers in leading journals and conferences and two international patents. His current research interests include nanowire and quantum dots physics and technology.
