Since his move to Brown, he has developed extensive collaborations in Behavioral Medicine, in the areas of smoking cessation, physical activity, and weight loss interventions. He served as Principal Investigator and Director of the Statistics & Data Management Core of the TTURC-SPORE P50 grant on "Nicotine Dependence: Phenotype, Endophenotype & Contexts" from 1999-2010. In addition, he has served as co-Investigator and project biostatistician on over 45 funded R01, U01, and U54 projects, and as statistical mentor on 8 K awards in these areas. He has supervised 11 MS thesis projects, served on 7 Ph.D. committees, and supervised one Ph.D dissertation.
