Gaurangi Gupta

Gaurangi Gupta (Member, IEEE) received the master’s and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur, India, in 2014 and 2020, respectively. During her Ph.D., she focused on the design and development of low-profile antennas with metasurface reflectors. Under the Indo U.S. Fellowship from 2018 to 2019, she was a Visiting Scholar with the Remote Sensing Center, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA, where she contributed to the ongoing radar development. She was a Research Associate with IIT Kanpur from 2020 to 2021, where she focused on phased-array antennas for satellite on-the-move applications under an industry-collaborated project. From August 2021 to February 2023, she was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, where she is currently an RF Microwave Engineer. She focuses on antenna development for radio telescopes, radar systems, and satellite communication. She has authored or coauthored multiple journal and conference papers. Dr. Gupta was a recipient of the URSI Young Scientist Award and multiple best paper awards and travel grants at IEEE conferences. She is currently the IEEE AP S Young Professional Ambassador.
