My research interests encompass various areas within developmental biology and poultry science. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology at the University of Edinburgh, Roslin Institute, and I expect to graduate in Fall 2024. I am focused on the directed differentiation of avian germ cells towards defined cell lineages. This research aims to investigate gene function, understand the molecular mechanisms regulating skeletal muscle formation in chickens, and identify factors that can aid in recreating the muscle stem cell niche. Before joining Roslin, I attended the University of Arkansas, earning a BScA degree in Honors Poultry Science. During my undergraduate studies, I was involved in several research projects within the field of poultry science.
