Georg Rademacher (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Dipl.Ing. and Dr.Ing. degrees from Technische Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Since 2016, he has been with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Tokyo, Japan, where he is currently a Senior Researcher. His research focuses on systems and subsystems for high-capacity optical fiber transmission systems, primarily by applying space-division multiplexing. Dr. Rademacher is a Senior Member of the IEEE Photonics Society and a member of the Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE). He received the 2017 ITG Award from the VDE, Germany, the Best Paper Award at the 2018 Photonics in Switching and Computing (PSC) Conference, and the 2020 Maejima Hisoka Award.
