G. Pupillo

Giuseppe Pupillo received the M.Sc. degree in astronomy (summa cum laude) and the Ph.D. degree in astronomy from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. From 1999 to 2006, he was involved in meteoric phenomena in the radar domain and the threat of micrometeorites for the artificial satellites. In 2007, he joined the Institute of Radio Astronomy, Italian National Institute for Astrophysics, Rome, Italy, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, where he is involved in radar observations of space debris within the Italian Space Agency Program. Since 2012, he has been a Technology Researcher involving in the framework of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Project, the next generation radio telescope. He participated in experimental campaigns on low-frequency arrays such as the basic element for SKA, the Medicina Array Demonstrator, LOFAR, and SKA Aperture Verification System. His current research interests include the astronomical low-frequency aperture arrays, particularly focused on calibration and characterization through radio signals transmitted by drones, and bistatic radar systems for space surveillance.
