Gabor Galbacs works at the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, University of Szeged (Hungary). His research interests include analytical method and instrumentation development for laser- and plasma-based elemental spectroscopy (e.g. laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma mass and atomic emission spectroscopy, diode laser atomic absorption spectroscopy, laser excited fluorescence spectroscopy, etc.), optochemical sensors and plasma diagnostics (LIBS, ICP, spark plasmas, etc.). His recent projects are mainly focused on nanoparticle characterization by spICP-MS, qualitative discrimination analysis by LIBS and studying the fundamental processes occurring in spark and arc nanoparticle generators.
