Francesco Locatelli

Francesco Locatelli, MD, is a Postgraduate Professor of Nephrology at University of Brescia and University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy. He is also the Head of the Department of Nephrology, Dialysis and Renal Transplant at Alessandro Manzoni Hospital, Lecco, Italy, and President of International Society of Geriatric Nephrology and Urology. Professor Locatelli received the International Medal Award of the American National Kidney Foundation in 2002, Honorary Member (C) of Royal College of Physicians, London in 2003 and the Garabed Eknoyan Award of American National Kidney Foundation in 2006. He has authored more than 600 scientific papers, is on the editorial board for several journals, and has served as a peer-reviewer for more than a dozen scientific journals.
