Previously a Wellcome Trust Fellow with Twin Research, Professor Frances Williams' group aims to improve the understanding of mechanisms in chronic pain through the study of chronic pain and chronic pain syndromes. She also practices musculoskeletal medicine, providing clinics in General Rheumatology and Metabolic bone disease. She also has an interest in occupational conditions and holds a monthly unique NHS clinic for Musicians and Performing Artists with musculoskeletal complaints.
