Current research focuses on the evolution of back- and fore-arc basins; relationships between tectonics and volcanism; development of a method to identify the geometry of active offshore faults and calculate their average long-term slip rates; analysis of active resurgence structures. Studies are based on the integration of 2D and 3D seismic‐reflection data with bathymetry data. Areas of interest are the Tyrrhenian‐Ionian Subduction System, the Sicily Channel, the Neapolitan Yellow Tuff caldera.
