We mainly focus our research on the neurobiological, psychophysiological and psychological vulnerability and correlates of the comorbidity and interactions between affective disorders and somatic pathology or functional syndromes, as well as on the diagnostic and therapeutic implications (field: psychosomatic medicine). Next to this, we also have a special clinical interest in integrated care and in severe medical conditions such as delirium, catatonia, neurotrauma (field: medical psychiatry).
