Ferruccio Santini

Ferruccio Santini received the M.D. degree from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 1985, and the M.D. degree specialized in endocrinology from the University of Pisa in 1988. He is currently a Professor of endocrinology with the University of Pisa and the Director of the Endocrinology Unit with the University Hospital of Pisa, Pisa. He has coauthored more than 200 publications referenced in the PubMed archive of the U.S. National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine. His current research interests include pathophysiology of the thyroid gland and diseases of the adipose tissue.
