Fredrik Charpentier Ljungqvist is Professor of History, especially Historical Geography, and Associate Professor of Physical Geography at Stockholm University, Sweden. Ljungqvist is author or co-author of more than 90 peer reviewed articles in history and palaeoclimatology, is author of two monographs in history, and is the author of four popular science books. Ljungqvist is Pro Futura Scientia Fellow at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study from 2019 to 2024.
