Mahmoud Emam

Mahmoud Emam was born in Egypt in 1985. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics and computer science from Menoufia University, Shibin El Kom, Egypt, in 2006 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and technology from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2017. From 2013 to 2017, he was a Research Associate with the Research Institute of Information Countermeasure Techniques (ICT), School of Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Menoufia University. He is an author and coauthor of many publications and a referee of many referred international journals and conferences. His research interests include artificial intelligence, digital forensics, computer vision, machine learning, and pattern recognition. Dr. Emam was the recipient of two best paper awards from the IEEE and Springer conferences, Best Foreigner Ph.D. Student Award, and the 2016 Outstanding International Ph.D. Student Excellence Award by the Chinese Scholarship Council, China, in 2016.
