I am a microbiome scientist with interest in understanding the physio-ecology of the gut, the mammary glands and the respiratory and reproductive systems via investigating the interactions between nutrition, gut physiology, immune and endocrine systems and microbiome. This is achieved by mapping the dynamics of microbiomes within and outside of the gut, identifying factors that impact the metabolic capacity of microbiome and its synergetic relationship with the host, and assessing the mechanisms through which microbiome impacting host physiology, such as gut-organs axes, and/or modulation of immune and endocrine systems. Understanding these interactions across multiple biological levels allow me and my organization to develop and test strategies to help humans and animals live more healthy days. I have published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters collectively generating over 7000 citations, yielding a H-index of 43 and a M-index of 3.
