We are currently evaluating a large volume of stereometric electron microscopic data in which we in which we are comparing: pulmonary basement membrane thickness in transgenic diabetic mice with other diabetic transgenics that also over-express metallothionien.. We hypothesize that basement membrane thickening in the latter mice will be significantly reduced compared to untreated diabetics
