Dr. Acosta has been Project Director of epidemiological, clinical and community based research projects at the Behavioral Sciences Research Institute and the Center for Evaluation and Sociomedical Research, both at the Medical Science Campus, University of PR. She received a PhD in psychology at the University of PR (social-community) and a post-doctoral master in Clinical Research from the Medical Science Campus.
