My main research item is physical volcanology. In particular, whatever concerns the physics behind the aggregation of volcanic ash. This topic is strictly related to fundamental aspects of physics, such as thermodynamics, mechanics, electromagnetism. My original background was related to acoustics and medical physics. I also love (really...love) teaching physics and everything related to make accessible something that is apparently messy and complicated.
