Emanuel B. Rodrigues

Emanuel Bezerra Rodrigues (emanuel@gtel.ufc.br) received his B. Sc. and M. Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from UFC in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He also received his Ph.D. degree with honors in signal theory and communications from the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC/Barce-lona Tech), Spain, in 2011. In 2014, he joined UFC, where he is an assistant professor in the Department of Computing. He has been working in GTEL since 2001 and has actively participated in several projects in technical and scientific cooperation between GTEL and Ericsson Research. Within this cooperation, he was an intern at Ericsson Research at Linköping, Sweden, in 2004, where he studied admission control algorithms for HSDPA systems. He has published several conference papers, journal/magazine articles, and book chapters, and has been a reviewer of important international conferences and IEEE journals and magazines. His main research interests are Internet of Things, and radio resource management and QoS control for next-generation mobile and wireless networks.
