Bio
Evan Grund (M'71) received the B.S.E.E. degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1971 and the M.S.E.E. degree from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, in 1981.
He is currently Vice President of Engineering with Oryx Instruments Corporation, Fremont, CA, and Chief Technologist for their Celestron family of TLP products. He was an Instrumentation Engineer designing nanosecond pulse amplifiers and picosecond timing systems at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Menlo Park, CA. He then held engineering department management positions for several semiconductor equipment companies, including KLA-Tencor, Novellus Systems, and Lam Research. His semiconductor equipment design experience includes ESD simulators, film thickness and line width optical metrology, wafer probers, plasma-enhanced and thermal CVD, and plasma etch systems. He is the holder of five patents in the fields of data processing, optical metrology, and power control systems.
Mr. Grund is a member of the Electrostatic Discharge Association Standards Committees on Component Level Testing.
