My research interests traditionally focus on POPULATION GENETICS/GENOMICS applied to livestock species (characterization via STR and SNP markers, conservation genetics, livestock products traceability, selection signatures detection, etc..) I'm currently working on a EU-funded Project named CAMEL-SHIELD on the development of the dromedary sector, and coordinating the 11th Illumina Agricultural Greater Good Initiative to develop an high-density SNP-chip for dromedaries.
