Our main focus is on: studying developmental competence of oocytes and embryo quality (in vivo vs. in vitro) in cattle; improve fertility in dairy cows; and understand the mechanisms of embryo-maternal interactions using the cattle model. Currently, we are working on in vitro models to produce embryos of better quality by "mimicking the physiological conditions in vivo" (use of oviduct/uterine fluids or their Exosomes) or to study embryo-maternal communication.
