Current research in my laboratory addresses the molecular mechanisms underlying cell motility, protein allostery, and energetic coupling in molecular machines. The role of isoform-specific differences, disease-causing mutations, and drugs are studied by integrating information derived from examining contractile events at several levels of organization with nanosecond and sub-nanometer resolution.
