My current research focuses on the development of trophic-level-based ecosystem models and the implementation of ecosystem approach to fisheries management. I am especially involved in programs dealing with the assessment of ecosystem impacts of fishing and climate change in European seas and at global scale. I notably developed the EcoTroph ecosystem model, and currently work on building scenarios for ecological and social transition of the fishing sector.
