Dhayalan Shakthivel received the Ph.D. degree in materials science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, U.K. His research interests are synthesis and application of semiconducting nanowires, kinetic studies of nanostructures growth, nanoscale crystal growth, nano-pattering, electron microscopy, chemical vapor deposition, nanowires based flexible electronics, and semiconducting nanowires for flexible large area electronics toward e-skin application. He was a recipient of the Government of India-MHRD Fellowship for Ph.D. research. He received the John Robertson Bequest Award from the University of Glasgow in 2015.
