Denis Lavoie

Sedimentary basins and their resources in oil and gas as they relate to the assessment of the conventional oil and gas systems in Northern Canada and the non-conventional systems (shale gas and oil) in Eastern Canada. My shale research focuses on both the resource and the potential environmental impacts of its development. My other field of interest relates to the understanding of hydrothermal alteration of calcareous rocks which result in the formation of hydrothermal dolomite reservoirs.
