个人简介
Meng Deng received the B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, in 2010.
He completed his doctoral thesis in biomaterials and tissue engineering under the supervision of Dr. Cato T. Laurencin at the University of Virginia. His Ph.D. project is focused on the design and development of material and matrix for bone regeneration based on a highly versatile platform of biocompatible polyphosphazene blends. He also worked on developing mechanically competent bioresorbable nanostructured three-dimensional biomimetic scaffolds for accelerated bone healing. Since June 2010, he has been a University Postdoctoral Fellow working on regenerative engineering of complex musculoskeletal tissues using integrated graft systems under the guidance of Dr. Cato T. Laurencin in the Institute for Regenerative Engineering at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington. His research interests include biomaterials, drug delivery, nanotechnology, and regenerative engineering.
