Bio
Nicole Raymonde Demarquette was born in France in 1966. She received her B.Sc. from Institute Polytechnique de Grenoble, France in 1989 as well as a Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies in Chemical Engineering from the same institute. She received a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. from McGill University in 1991 and 1994, respectively. She also obtained a Livre-docence in Materials Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was a Professor at the Materials Engineering Department of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, between 1996 and 2012 and joined Ecole de Technologie Supérieure in Montreal in 2012. Her research interests include the development of new materials based on thermoplastics, rheology, interface science and electrospinning. She is the authors of more than 100 Journal papers. She is an active member of the Society of Rheology, Society of Plastic Engineers and Polymer Processing Society.
