Xosé Luís Deán-Ben has been working in optoacoustic (photoacoustic) imaging since 2010. He has contributed both to the development of new optoacoustic systems and processing algorithms, as well as to the demonstration of new biomedical applications in cancer, cardiovascular biology, and neuroscience. He has coauthored more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals on the topic.
