The focus of our research is to understand the process of plant immunity. Particular interest are paid to nitric oxide signalling, to signalling proteins regulated at the post-translational level (including the chaperone-like CDC48) and to the crosstalk between immunity and iron homeostasis. We have recently begun the functional characterization of Nitric Oxide Synthases in algae.
