David H. Olson received the B.S. degree in physics from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA, USA, in 2016 and is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA. From 2014 to 2016, he worked at the NanoSynch Lab at James Madison University, studying the thermoelectric properties of manganese oxide in its powder and thin film forms. In 2016, he joined the ExSiTE Lab at the University of Virginia to study the excited carrier dynamics. Mr. Olson is a recipient of the University of Virginia Commonwealth Fellowship in Engineering, and is currently a VSGC Graduate Research Fellow.
