Dr. David Kwartowitz is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and the Biomedical Engineering Program Lead at Grand Canyon University. Previously Dr. Kwartowitz was an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at Clemson University from 2010 - 2017, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in the Biomedical Imaging Resource appointed in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering, and the Department of Anatomy. Dr. Kwartowitz completed his graduate education in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, including a Ph.D. in 2007 entitled "Towards Image-Guided Robotic Surgery" under Dr. Bob Galloway, and an M.S. in 2005 entitled "Investigation of the application of dynamic computed tomography to measurement of whole lung perfusion" under Dr. Cynthia Paschal. Dr. Kwartowitz received a B.S.E. in 2003 from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Medical Imaging and Computing, with a minor in Studio Arts with a concentration on photography.
