Danielle Touma

My goal is to understand the impact of climate variability and human activity on the characteristics of extreme climate events. I analyze large datasets of temperature, precipitation, and other climate variables that have been observed and simulated in complex climate models. By distilling these large datasets, I quantify the frequency, duration, size and intensity of extreme climate events in the past and the future, and understand how humans may be changing them.
