As Research Director for the Clinical Psychology Doctorate (ClinPsyD), I hold responsibility for overseeing ClinPsyD trainee research. I also teach on the programme and supervise ClinPsyD research projects. I play a full and active part in the organisation and delivery of the MSc Clinical & Health Psychology and the BSc Psychology programmes including teaching, supervision of students, marking and examining, teaching module/unit organiser, and academic advisor. Alongside my teaching roles, I conduct research and supervise PhD students, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Alongside my academic roles, I also work as the Director of the Patient Safety Research Unit (PSRU) at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. I lead on the PSRU's scheme of work focussed upon the understanding and prevention of suicide.
