Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Anesthesia/Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Since 1999, I have been Professor, School of Nursing, the Jeffrey and Harriett Legum Professor of Acute Care Neurology, and Director of the Brain Injury Outcomes Program at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. I am board certified in internal medicine, neurology and psychiatry. As a leading expert on multiple types of brain injury, I have received more than 50 research grants.
