Daniel A. Villela

Daniel Villela received the electrical engineering diploma (cum laude) from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the MSc degree in electrical engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the MPhil degree in electrical engineering from Columbia University, New York. He is currently a graduate research assistant and a PhD candidate in electrical engineering at Columbia University. His interests are in the performance of networked systems and algorithms for distributed computing and distributed communication systems. He has been awarded a scholarship for his doctoral study at Columbia University from Capes/Brazil and a SIGCOMM Student Travel award. He is a student member of the IEEE.
