Career Trajectory
Bio
Andrew W. Daga (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in engineering and the B.Arch. degree from the Spring Garden College, Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 1984 and 1985, respectively.
He was a Leading Consultant to the aerospace industry and contributed to the design of the International Space Station solar power array system and to future mission planning studies with NASA and the US Department of Defense. His work with NASA, Washington, DC, USA, Boeing, Seattle, WA, USA, and Lockheed, Bethesda, MA, USA, has resulted in a number of published studies and papers on lunar habitation and lunar resource utilization, and public policy. His work with the US Air Force, Washington, DC, USA, led to the development of novel concepts for wireless power transmission.
Mr. Daga was a Senior Corporate Manager at Bentley Systems, Inc., Exton, PA, USA, a leading developer of CAD software design of infrastructure for buildings, roads, and electrical utilities. He was a Professional Architect and Engineer, and he managed and contributed to the design and successful completion of multiple international energy development projects, including power generation plants in Asia and the United States during his time with Raytheon Waltham, MA, USA. With the Gilbane Building Company Providence, RI, USA, he carried out engineering management of large-scale industrial projects. He now leads a company of electronics engineers, automotive experts, electrochemists, mechanical and civil engineers, and software developers to create fully integrated solutions for inductively connecting mobile vehicles to the stationary power grid. His vision is that the mass movement toward vehicle electrification must include all classes of vehicles, and that automated, inductive all-weather rapid charging is the key to accelerated electric vehicle adoption. He is currently an Original Founder and CEO of Momentum Dynamics, Malvern, PA, USA, where he is a developer of wireless charging and power electronics technologies for the automotive industry. He is one of the inventors of the company’s inductive charging technology and a recognized thought leader in the electromobility movement.
