Dr. Mota-Sanchez’s research focuses on the evolution of arthropod resistance to xenobiotics particularly potato beetle, fruit pests and fall armyworm. He leads the Arthropod Pesticide Resistance Database which tracks cases of resistance since 1914. He is working on IPM/IRM, international agriculture and biotechnology. He served as an Embassy Science Fellow with the State Department and USDA FSA. He leads a USDA NIFA project to train Latino farmers. He teaches the Insect Toxicology course.
