Daniel Jose Barbosa's research background is focused in neurotoxicological phenomena mediated by drugs of abuse and addiction, and the role for dynein/dynactin motor complex in neuronal homeostasis, and in cell division. Areas of his research interest include dynein/dynactin motor complex in neuronal homeostasis and degeneration. A particular topic for his future research career is the pathogenic mis-regulation of myelination in disease (multiple sclerosis), for translational studies.
