Daniel P. Glavin

Daniel P. Glavin received the B.S. degree in physics from the University of California at San Diego, San Diego, CA, USA, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in earth sciences from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla, CA, USA, in 2001. He has been with the NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center for the past 18 years where he searches for amino acids and other chemical building blocks of life in extraterrestrial samples and supports both laboratory and future spaceflight instrument and hardware development for astrobiology missions, including Mars and comet nucleus sample return. He is currently working as the Associate Director of Science with the Solar System Exploration Division.
