D. Alistair Steyn-Ross

D. Alistair Steyn-Ross (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc., M.Sc. (with Hons.), and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Waikato (UoW), Hamilton, New Zealand. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Engineering, UoW. He has coauthored more than 25 papers on supercapacitor-related topics. His research interests include the application of computational physics and mathematics to modeling of nonlinear stochastic systems during close approach to phase transition critical points. He has supervised a substantial number of Ph.D. Projects in the application of supercapacitors to renewable-energy storage and the design of robust, energy-efficient DC power supplies.
