Bio
Dominic A. Moseley (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sci. degree in physics and the Ph.D. degree in experimental solid state physics from Imperial College London, U.K., in 2010 and 2014, respectively.
His career has centered on exploring exciting applications of superconductivity. After completing his Ph.D. degree, he spent three years working in industry designing and constructing a range of cryogenic systems and high field superconducting magnets at Cryogenic Ltd. These systems were installed in a range of world-leading research institutions. In 2018, he re-entered academia as a Research Associate with the Bulk Superconductivity Group, University of Cambridge, where he developed the experimental infrastructure for superconductor-based trapped field magnets. His unique pulsed field magnetization systems has further highlighted the interplay driving this complex process. Since 2021, he has been a Scientist with the Robinson Research Institute, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, primarily focused on wireless energization of DC magnets using superconducting flux pumps and fiber optic cryogenic monitoring. At the Robinson Research Institute, he is the Project Lead for a variety of interdisciplinary challenges often with close ties to commercial applications.
