Cristina Guardiano works as an Associate Professor in Linguistics at the Dipartimento di Comunicazione ed Economia, Universita degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. She does research in Historical Linguistics, Formal and Comparative Syntax. She got her PhD in Linguistics at the Universita di Pisa. She has been a Fulbright Scholar at the Department of Linguistics, UCLA, in 2013. She currently collaborates on two international projects about world-wide syntactic comparison: LANGELIN and SSWL.
