Our group is interested in exploring how diet and obesity influence breast cancer risk and outcomes. We are focusing specifically on the role of the microbiome on influencing breast tumorigenesis and therapeutic response. Work from my group demonstrated that diet shifts the non-cancerous breast tissue microbiome and breast microbiome may influence cancer risk.
