I am the founder of the Automated Vehicles laboratory at the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi (TUIASI) and have been lecturing and doing research at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering since 2008. I currently have a position of Full Professor and hold courses and laboratory classes in Data transmission – remote process control, Modeling, and predictive control, and Automotive control systems. During my academic career, I have been involved in several international and national research projects in the field of Networked control systems, Model predictive control, Vehicle platooning, Distributed control systems, Swarm intelligence for cooperative automated driving, Automotive control systems, and System theory and practice. My bibliography consists of more than 100 research titles. I also hold the position of control systems design engineer at Continental Automotive Romania. I'm also the co-founder of INTERACT, a project through which a team of researchers from TUIASI searches for solutions to tackle the Efficiency and Safety collaborative traffic functions in smart intersections (https://traffic-interact.ro/).
