Clyde Beers

Clyde Joshua Beers received the M.S. degree in nuclear engineering and radiological science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 2016. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in energy science and engineering with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. He is currently a Graduate Research Assistant with the University of Tennessee, where he is involved in fusion relevant material exposures on the linear plasma device Prototype-Material Plasma Exposure eXperiment (Proto-MPEX) with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN. His current research topics are near target plasma characterization and ceramics and refractory metal surface morphology changes under International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) divertor relevant plasma exposures.
